Kadle manoli Sukka - Bengal gram and Ivy gourd Curry -Tendli and Chana in Hindi

Ingredients:                                                                                              

  • Manoli (Ivy gourd, Tondekayi in kannada, Tendli in hindi ) 1/2 kg Kadle (Bengal Gram, or Chana )   1/4 kg
  • Salt to Taste

For Masala:

  • Red Chillies  10- 12 nos
  • Corriander Seed    21/2 tsp
  • Cumin seed          1 1/2 tsp
  • Fenugreek Seeds  1pinch
  •  Turmeric              1/4 tspn 
  • Onion                   1
  • Garlic flakes         2
  • Grated Coconut   1 cup

For Seasoning:

  • Mustard seed    1 tsp
  • Curry leaves     2 Springs
  • Oil                    2 tsp
  • Garlic               2 flakes

Method:

Soak kadle (Bengal Gram ) overnight.

In a tawa, add little oil, then add red chillies, fenugreek seeds (methi dana) fry till light brown then add corriander seeds, cumin seeds fry a till golden brown. and add sliced onion fry for a while. All these ingredients remove from gas and let it cool. Then Grind it in a grinder make fine paste. keep aside. gind grated coconut 1 round in grinder, (other wise you can add grated coconut directly )

Cook Bengal gram in water (dont' add too much water because we are making dry curry). when
